Cyclone Hockey beat the Indiana Tech Warriors Oct. 10 at the Ames/ISU Ice Arena by a score of 5-0 to end its three-game losing streak. Here are some numbers from the game.

3: Senior forward J.P. Kascsak came into the game with two goals on the season. After scoring a goal in each period of the game for a hat trick he tied his season total and then some. For one of his goals, Kascsak skated past the defense to find open ice and finish a backhand goal and put the Cyclones up 2-0.

2 and 1: Senior defenseman Antti Helanto had two assists and one goal in the game. He was also integral in helping the Cyclones finish the shutout with his solid defensive play.

15: Senior goaltender Matt Cooper saved all 15 shots on net. He wasn’t tested much, as the Cyclones spent the majority of the time in the offensive zone, but Cooper made crucial saves when needed.

Cyclone Hockey returns to competition to take on Lindenwood University at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 17-18 at the Ames/ISU Ice Arena.
