Players to watch out for against Michigan-Dearborn

Luke Manderfeld

Cyclone Hockey takes on Michigan-Dearborn at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 24 and 25 at the Ames/ISU Ice Arena. Here are three players from each team to watch out for.

Cyclones

1. Jake Uglem, forward: After scoring his first two goals as a Cyclone, Uglem will see if he can keep the momentum going this weekend.

2. Zack Johnson, forward: Somewhat of a mainstay on this list, Johnson put home his team-leading ninth goal against Lindenwood. He will be a big part of the offense if it breaks out of its slump.

3. Matt Cooper, goaltender: Cooper has really found success this season. He kept that up allowing only three goals last weekend. He will have to be tough to stop Michigan-Dearborn’s offense.

Wolverines

1. Jase Paciocco, forward- Paciocco leads the team in points at 22 and assists at 16.

2. Nate Ferris, goaltender- Ferris hasn’t had the best season so far with a 3.40 GAA and a .885 save percentage, but he faces a struggling Cyclone offense. He may have a great game if the Cyclone offense can’t figure out their scoring woes.

3. Jeffery McFarland, forward- McFarland is second on the team in points with 19 and leads the team in goals at 11.
