Officials within the athletic department have announced that several lots south of the stadium have been closed in lieu of rainfall and the potential for more rain.

Public grass lots G2, G3, G4, G5 and G8 will not be open. However, there is a possibility that portions of the lots could open for automobile parking only should conditions improve.

Lot G7 — east of University Boulevard, which is usually reserved for Cyclone Club donors — will be open. Should conditions worsen and Lot G7 becomes unavailable, donors will be directed by parking officials.

“We’ve received a lot of rain in the Ames area this week and with more possible prior to the game, we are asking fans to arrive extra early and show patience,” said athletic director Jamie Pollard in a press release. “The parking staff will try to accommodate as many folks as possible, but there will be changes to normal protocol.”
