Thousands of people filled Reiman Gardens on July 3 for the Ames sesquicentennial celebration and Independence Day fireworks. The event included food from Olde Main Brewing Company, birthday cake by Hy-Vee and concerts by the Ames Choral Society and the Ames Municipal Band.
