Chayanun, On-iam earn All-Big 12 honors for ISU women’s golf

Two members of the ISU women’s golf team were named to the All-Big 12 team on May 1.

Chonlada Chayanun and Sasikarn On-iam represent No. 25 Iowa State on the 10-player team, which was determined by Golfstat individual rankings after the Big 12 Championship concluded on April 27.

On-iam finished the season ranked 83rd and was the seventh-ranked Big 12 golfer. The senior from Bangkok, Thailand, also earned All-Big 12 honors in her freshman year.

Chayanun, a junior from Nakhonratchaslma, Thailand, earned her first All-Big 12 honors. She is ranked No. 105 and the ninth-ranked Big 12 golfer.

The two combined for five top-10 finishes on the season, notably with Chayanun finishing tied for fourth at the Big 12 Championship and On-iam earning co-medalist honors at the Hurricane Invitational.

Teammate sophomore Cajsa Persson just missed out on Big 12 honors. She finishing the regular season ranked No. 115, finished only two spots behind Bertine Strauss of Texas, the final golfer named to the team.
