Country singer-songwriter Sara Haze has been signed on as part of this year’s Veishea musical performances. An Orange County, Calif. native, Haze will be making her second appearance in Iowa and is ready to be a part of our annual tradition.

“I’m excited to play a show that features all kinds of different artists and genres. I grew up listening to pop, country, hip hop, pretty much everything under the sun,” Haze said.

Following the release of her indie CD “The Ladder” in 2008, Haze was invited to perform at the Canadian Music Week, headline South by Southwest, and perform at Popkomm in Berlin. The album also received Muse’s Muse Best Overall CD Project in Any Category.

“You have the option to look at your life and see the good,” Haze said, explaining the title of her latest album “My Personal Sky.”

The California native experienced one her biggest hits, “Lovely” which has seen steady sales on iTunes.

“My Personal Sky” had the privilege of working with Grammy Award-winning producer/songwriter Glen Ballard [No Doubt, Alanis Morissette, Dave Matthews] to create relatable songs.

Haze is a big fan of artists that write their own music and has enormous respect for those performers outside of her genre.

Her mother was a vocal coach and helped shape her love for entertaining and singing. Since the age of 14, Haze has been writing and recording her own music. She has even made over one hundred television and film placements.

This year, the artist has some exciting plans ahead of her.

“We are going to be playing some amazing shows around the country this year with Little Big Town and Hunter Hayes. I’m performing at Stage Coach in Indio [CA] on April 26, which is a dream come true for this Orange County native,” Haze said.

She has also written a song for Rascal Flatts called “Riot” and is thrilled for it to be released on their new album. In addition to these achievements, Haze will also be performing at the Grand Ole Opry again and release another EP.

This will be her first Veishea performance.

“I definitely have an appreciation for all music so I’m happy to be a part of this show,” Haze said.
