Iowa State softball falls to Nebraska

The ISU softball team traveled to Nebraska to play the No. 15 Huskers.

The Cyclones have only faced a handful of ranked teams so far this season. The outcomes of the games have not gone in Iowa State’s favor. Today was no exception. The Cyclones lost 10-3 against the Huskers.

It started off as a slow game. There were no runs until the fourth inning. The Huskers hit three homeruns during the inning. The score by the end of the fourth inning was 6-0.

Iowa State rallied back by scoring three runs in just the next inning. The Cyclones put a stop to the Huskers scoring that inning.

Nebraska came back with eagerness, hitting a grand slam putting the Huskers above 10-3 after five innings.

The Cyclones will be at home Sunday for the first time since the beginning of the season. Iowa State will face Northern Illinois at 12 P.M.
