Iowa State defeated North Carolina Central in the second round of the NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship at the AT&T Center on March 21 in San Antonio. Sophomore forward Georges Niang led the team in scoring with 24 points but left the game with more than seven minutes to go after breaking his foot. Iowa State won, 93-75.
