ISU volleyball sweeps Baylor in straights sets

For the second time this season, the ISU volleyball team (14-6, 8-2 Big 12) beat Baylor (11-15, 3-7 Big 12) in straight sets. On Saturday, Nov. 2, the Cyclones beat the Bears 3-0 (25-16, 25-16, 25-16).

Senior libero Kristen Hahn had 26 digs in three sets against Baylor and sophomore setter Jenelle Hudson had 16. Before Saturday, Hahn led the Big 12 in digs per set with 5.71.

The Cyclones, who lead the Big 12 in service aces, had eight on the night while the Bears had three. Five different ISU players served at least one ace during the match.

Iowa State kept Baylor to a .056 hitting percentage on the night and did not allow any Bears to have double-digit kills.

Nicole Bardaji and Laura Jones led the Baylor offense with six kills apiece. Jones added 11 digs on the night.

The match against Baylor was Iowa State’s fourth-straight Big 12 win. The Cyclones will take a break from conference play to face South Dakota on Tuesday, Nov. 5.
