The No. 22 ISU women’s basketball team won its first road game in dominant fashion, downing Cincinnati 78-42 on Thursday night. 

Three ISU players scored in double-digits, with senior Hallie Christofferson (25 points) and freshmen Seanna Johnson (13 points) and Jadda Buckley (12 points) scoring 50 of the team’s 78 points.

Turning Point

Leading by 11 points at half, the Cyclones (3-0) came out quick at the start of the second half, going on a 20-7 run to distance themselves from the Bearcats. For the first time this season, every player on the ISU roster saw action in a game.

X Factor

Hallie Christofferson: The senior had another high-scoring night with 25 points, making 6-of-6 free throws. She pulled in seven rebounds and recorded two steals. Christofferson’s five 3-pointers against Cincinnati are a season-high.

The game marked her 17th career 20-point effort and her 62nd double-digit scoring game.
