Minneapolis based group Motion City Soundtrack will be performing in Des Moines on Monday October 14th. The American alternative rock band will perform live on stage at Wooly’s on 504 East Locust Street in downtown Des Moines at 7:30 p.m. with the doors opening at 6:30 p.m. for the general public. Motion City Soundtrack will be headlining alongside New York group Bayside, with What’s Eating Gilbert and State Champs as the opening acts.

The upcoming concert is part of Motion City Soundtrack’s Fall 2013 Tour, which starts on Tuesday October 8th in Allentown, Pennsylvania and will run until Tuesday December 31st, ending in Chicago, Illinois.

Motion City Soundtrack will team up with Bayside, State Champs, and What’s Eating Gilbert for the first half of the tour, finishing out the rest of it with the bands Relient K and Driver Friendly. After their concert on the 14th in Des Moines, the bands will head east to the Blue Moose Tap House in Iowa City for a live stage performance on Wednesday October 16th.

The band released their fifth studio album titled Go on June 12th, 2012. For the album, the band reconvened in their hometown of Minneapolis, Minnesota to work with old friend and producer Ed Ackerson to create a collection of new music that brings up big, emotional questions without sacrificing any of the energy or raw emotion that has helped Motion City Soundtrack gain fans throughout the years. The band also recently released a new single titled “Inside Out”, which is not included on the fifth album, so there is a good chance that people attending the concert will be experiencing some new music.
