Iowa State will play host to the 2014 NCAA women’s basketball first and second rounds this March, the NCAA announced Wednesday.

Both rounds will be played at Hilton Coliseum and will take place on March 22-25. This is the eighth time that a portion of the women’s tournament has been played at Hilton Coliseum.

“We are honored to again be chosen as a host site for the NCAA first and second round,” said ISU coach Bill Fennelly in a news release. “The committee is well aware of the passionate fan base Iowa State has for women’s basketball. They also know our athletic department and the City of Ames will host a great event for the teams and their fans.”

In 2012, the last time Ames was a site for the NCAA tournament, Iowa State fell 71-57 to Green Bay.

Dates and times for the games will be finalized during committee meetings set to take place Oct. 21-23.
