ISU cross-country teams finish second, third at Black and Gold Invite

IOWA CITY — The ISU women’s cross-country team took second place in the Black and Gold Invite on Friday in Iowa City while the ISU men’s squad took third overall.

Senior Ejiro Okoro was the first Cyclone to finish the race and finished fifth overall with a time of 14:18. Junior Maggie Gannon finished sixth overall, with a time of 14:18.

Junior Steve Dado finished fourth overall with a time of 18:54 and senior Nick Schulze finished eighth with a time of 18:59.

The women’s team took second overall with 44 points beating Baylor and Iowa, with Alabama winning the meet. The ISU men’s team took third with 57 points behind Iowa and Alabama.
