ISU soccer takes 2-0 win against UNI Panthers

WATERLOO, Iowa — The ISU soccer team defeated in-state rival Northern Iowa 2-0 on Friday night at the Cedar Valley Soccer Complex in Waterloo, Iowa.

The game’s two scores came off of goals from freshmen. Koree Willer scored in the 11th minute off a deflection to put the Cyclones up 1-0. Senior defender Jessica Reyes was credited with the assist.

Kourtney Camy added a score of her own from more than 30 yards out in the 67th minute. It was her first goal of the season.

The Cyclones kept possession for much of the game, firing 22 shots and putting nine of them on goal. The Cyclone defense did not allow a Panther shot the entire game.

Goalkeeper Maddie Jobe recorded her 17th career shutout, passing Ann Gleason for the all-time school record. Jobe did not record any saves during the game.

The Cyclones improve their record to 5-4, while the Panthers fall to 1-8. Iowa State will take on St. Louis on Sunday with a noon kickoff.
