Cyclone Hockey wins 7-3 against Huntsville Havoc

The Cyclones (3-0) won 7-3 against the Huntsville Havoc tryout team on Friday.

Forward Anthony Coles scored in the first period to put the Havoc on top early.

Iowa State soon responded with goals by forwards Chris Cucullu, Jon Feavel and Mark Huber.

In the second period, Coles scored again but the Cyclones answered with goals from forward Trevor Lloyd and Huber.

In the third period, Iowa State was the one to strike first, as defenseman Eero Helanto scored just 22 seconds into the period. The Havoc answered with a goal by forward Lukas Kruckey. At the end of the period ISU forward Chase Rey also scored.

The Havoc used two goalies on the night, with Steve Henzie playing the first period and half of the second. Henzie was 21 of 25 on shots on goal. Goalie Javier Rabago played the rest of the game. He was 16 of 19 on shots on goal.

ISU goalie Matt Cooper was 17 of 20 on shots on goal during the game.
