Missing half way house resident in custody

An Ames half way house resident, Joshua Don Daniels, who was reported missing on Tuesday is now in custody.

Daniels was arrested in his parents home in Boone early on Thursday morning after a standoff with police.

The Des Moines Register reports that the standoff began after Daniels threatened “to burn down the house” which resulted in a 7-hour standoff with police.

The Ames Police tweeted at 1:19 p.m. that “Josh Daniels has been captured.”
