Pride Week ends Friday with a Drag Show.

The show will be performed in the great hall at the Memorial Union.

“For this show, we will be having 9 performers, 3 kings and 6 queens, performing around 20 songs,” said Melanie Pope junior in elementary education.

The show will go from 8:00pm to 10:00pm.

“It’s a great way to bring people together and celebrate with something that’s very fun and out of the ordinary,” said Pope.

The music will range from Lady Gaga, to Brittney Spears to Justin Timberlake.

The show costs $5 for LGBTAA members and $8 for nonmembers. Pope said the admission proceeds will be going to Youth and Shelter Services.

“There will be seated space as well as some space by the stage, which we highly encourage people to take advantage of during the show,” Pope said.

Pope said having an interactive crowd will help get the best out of the performers.

The show will be hosted by a drag queen, who goes by the name Phoenix Alina.

“Performers love performing, the audience has a blast, and we raise money for great organizations,” said Pope.
