Alyson Beytien explains that everyone uses schedules and that they are particularly important for individuals with autism. Schedules should be visual and accessible; they should be reviewed verbally, but also put into writing. “Don’t ever get rid of the schedule,” she emphasizes. “Just make it more age-appropriate.”
