Cyclones complete second day of Easton Classic

In a sweeping 11-1 victory against St. John’s (3-11-1), the ISU softball team found its success in Erica Miller.

Setting an ISU record of seven RBI in one game, Miller was also credited with a run to give her eight runs of the team’s total 11 scored.

With these seven added RBIs, Miller is leading her team with 21 on the season and hitting at a high .512. Miller also had one of the Cyclones’ three hits against the Crimson Tide in their second game of the day.

Alabama (22-0) shut out Iowa State 6-0 in a game that Iowa State struck out nine times while Alabama didn’t strike out once.

Overall the Cyclones (9-6) return home with a 2-2 record on the weekend and will play again Thursday, March 7, against Fresno State.
