Former ISU All-American Willie Gadson passed away on Sunday, his son, Kyven, confirmed on Twitter on Sunday afternoon.

Willie earned All-America honors twice at 177 pounds at Iowa State, placing third in 1975 and sixth in 1976.

Willie coached Kyven at Waterloo East High School and remained a large influence in his life. Kyven heads into the NCAA Championships as one of the favorites at 197 pounds.
