The ISU softball team was out-hit 11-3 by No. 16 Baylor losing by a score of 13-0 in game one of Friday’s double-header in Waco, Texas.

Game two was a bit more dramatic.

In the final inning while trailing 3-1, the Cyclones were able to tie the game with a two-run shot by Tori Torrescano.

With home run No. 12 this season, Torrescano lifted her team into extra innings.

The pitcher who threw the home run ball to Torrescano made it up to her team in the 10th inning with the winning run off of a sacrifice fly that drove in the game-winning run.

With the two losses Iowa State is now 14-18 on the season.

The Cyclones will play in Waco, Texas, again on Saturday at noon in hopes of not being swept in their first Big 12 series of the year.
