Swimming and diving team travels to Kansas

The ISU swimming and diving team will head down to Lawrence, Kan., this weekend for a double-header weekend against Kansas.

The Cyclones (4-4) are going into their last regular season duals against a very similar Jayhawk (5-4) team.

“They are going to have a more athletic team than what we have faced recently,” said coach Duane Sorenson. “This meet will be a good tune-up before Big 12s in a few weekends.”

This is the last chance for most swimmers and divers to qualify for the NCAAs and postseason meets in March. Freshman diver Elyse Brouillette is the only one that has already qualified.

The Cyclones are riding a two-meet win streak going into this weekend and hope to build off of that momentum. The meet Feb. 8 will start at 6 p.m., and the teams will be back at it in the pool on Feb. 9 at 10 a.m.
