The No. 24 Cyclones were able to continue their Big 12 winning streak as they ousted the No. 22 Sooners 72-68 in Norman, Okla., on Feb 14.

Hallie Christofferson led the Cyclones (18-5, 9-4 Big 12) with 25 points and nine rebounds.

Iowa State scored the last seven points in the first half to even the score at 27-27.

Iowa State was able to feed Chelsea Poppens on the inside to get her 19 points, while Oklahoma (18-6, 8-4 Big 12) continued to shoot a somewhat convincing game from the perimeter, shooting 5-of-15 from behind the arc, but making important shots.

Poppens’ rebounding didn’t go unnoticed. With eight rebounds, Poppens helped board her team to another road victory.

With foul trouble early in the second half, Poppens was brought out and Iowa State’s lead dwindled for a bit, until the leading scorer was brought back into the game.

Nicole “Kidd” Blaskowsky landed two 3-pointers with about six minutes left to give the Cyclones a comfortable lead.

The Cyclones will play the Mountaineers at 12:30 p.m. on Feb. 17 at Hilton Coliseum.
