Cyclones wrap up final day of New Balance Invitational

The ISU track and field team finished the New Balance Invitational on Saturday after two consecutive days of competition with some notable results.

The women’s 4×400 team, which is composed of Ejiro Okoro, Ese Okoro, Krista Shoeman and Kendra White, ran a time of 3:40.73, which was good enough for second place.

On the men’s side, the Cyclones took first in the distance medley ran by Alec Baldwin, Ivan Tamba, Edward Kemboi and Falko Zauber with a time of 9:59.19.

Freshman Jan Jeuschede tied for ninth place with a throw of 16.94 meters in the shot put championship.

The Cyclones’ next meet is Feb. 7-9 in Ames for the Iowa State Classic.
