ISU Ambassadors holding mock election

The ISU Ambassadors are holding a mock election this week to gauge who ISU students are voting for in this year’s election.

According to officials from the group, students who live in the residence halls should have received an email inviting them to cast their vote. Students who do not live in the dorms can still cast their vote by following the link on the ISU Ambassadors Facebook page. From there, students will be asked to log in to the voting system by using their ISU email address.

Students have the choice to vote for Barack Obama and Mitt Romney for president but also libertarian candidate Gary Johnson. Steve King and Christie Vilsack for U.S. House and all candidates for Iowa House districts 45 and 46 are also on the ballot. An ambassador representative said they already have a little over 700 votes tallied.

The mock polls are open until Friday afternoon. The Ambassadors said they hope to have results posted later in the day Friday on their Facebook page.
