The ISU men’s basketball team released its 2012-13 season schedule on Thursday, per a news release.

Thirteen of the teams on the Cyclones’ schedule advanced to the NCAA tournament in 2012 — including conference foes Kansas, Baylor, Kansas State, Texas and new addition West Virginia.

Non-conference play concludes with a home contest against Yale on Jan. 1 while conference play begins with a road contest against Kansas in Lawrence, Kan., on Jan. 9.

The inaugural home game against Big 12 newcomers West Virginia and TCU will be on Jan. 16 and Feb. 16.

The Cyclones, who return from a 23-11 campaign that saw wins against ninth-ranked Baylor and fifth-ranked Kansas, will begin their season with an exhibition game against Minnesota State on Nov. 4 before four straight home games to follow.

The season-opening game will be on Nov. 9 against Southern University.
