A traffic incident report was issued by the Iowa Department of Transportation at approximately 3:50 p.m. today. 

The Iowa DOT has announced that Interstate 35 northbound near Exit 116 near Ames has been blocked off due to a multi-vehicle accident.

Drivers are instructed to follow the local detour, “use caution and expect some delays if traveling in this area.”
