The Greater Des Moines Music Coalition Hosted Its 5Th Annual 80/35 Music Festival That Drew In 35,000 People To The Streets Of Downtown Des Moines For A Barrage Of Local, National Music Acts. Kum & Go, Hy-Vee Triathlon Sponsored Two Free Stages, While Wellmark Blue Cross Blue Shield Sponsored A Stage That Brought In Headliner Acts The Avett Brothers, and Death Cab For Cutie. The Ames Music Community Was Heavily Involved, From Setting Up Stage Equipment To Performing In A Handful Of Bands Throughout The Festival. The Greater Des Moines Music Coalition hosted its 5th annual 80/35 Music Festival that drew in 35,000 people to the streets of downtown Des Moines for a barrage of local and national music acts on July 6 and 7, 2012. Kum & Go and Hy-Vee Triathlon sponsored two free stages, while Wellmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield sponsored a stage that brought in headliner acts The Avett Brothers and Death Cab for Cutie. The Ames music community was heavily involved, from setting up stage equipment to performing in a handful of bands throughout the festival.
