Former ISU wide receiver Darius Reynolds joined his former teammate Ter’Ran Benton this week as an Iowa Barnstormer.

Benton was picked up the the Barnstormers last week, according to a blog post by the Des Moines Register’s Tommy Birch. Both Benton and Reynolds traveled together back and forth from Ames, where the two still reside, to work out for coaches in Des Moines, according to Birch’s blog.

Reynolds was the Cyclone’s leading receiver in his last season with Iowa State.

According to Birch’s blog post, after Benton was chosen by the Barnstormers, Reynolds continued to commute with Benton for another week, until finally picking up a contract with Arena Football League team.

After not being selected in the NFL Draft, Reynolds originally signed with the Green Bay Packers.

The Barnstormers close out the season with just three more games. Iowa will host their final game of the regular season on July 7 against the San Antonio Talons.
