Water main construction along Lincoln Way will require lane closures beginning Thursday, July 5, according to a City of Ames news release. 

The release stated that the work is expected to last five to six weeks and will cause Lincoln Way lane closures between Riverside Drive and Hazel Avenue. 

“The work will include transferring water services from old water mains to newer water mains along Lincoln Way,” the news release said.

Drivers should be on the look out for construction vehicles and equipment in the area, the news release advised.
