The Iowa Board of Regents will discuss several matters important to Iowa State University at their upcoming meeting, Wednesday June 6.

These topics include tuition set asides, student crime rates at each university, campus sustainability and Fiscal Year 2013 budget and salary policies.

The agenda for the Regents Wednesday meeting, which will begin at 8:30 a.m. in the Main Lounge of the Iowa Memorial Union at the University of Iowa, states that Regents President Craig Lang will take time to discuss the tuition set-aside program.

Iowa’s tuition set-aside program puts aside a minimum of 15 percent of each student’s tuition to go toward financial aid for other students. Iowa State set aside 22 percent of student’s tuition during the past year. Iowa State has budgeted $55 million for tuition set aside for student financial aid for the current fiscal year.
