President Barack Obama visited TPI Composites in Newton, Iowa on Thursday, May 24, 2012. TPI is an international company that manufactures wind turbine blades. Obama toured the plant and spoke to a crowd of 500 people. Obama’s visit was meant to call Congress to extend wind energy tax breaks. After speaking in Newton, Obama made a campaign stop in Des Moines. This is Obama’s second visit to Iowa in the past month.
