Human Again

Singer/songwriter Ingrid Michaelson is back with her fifth studio album, “Human Again.” The New York based singer has been known for her catchy upbeat tunes such as “Be OK” and “The Way I Am” and has been a huge success in the indie-pop world since she began her career in 2005. Ingrid is also known for her many performances and collaborations with artists such as Jason Mraz, Greg Laswell and Joshua Radin.

“Human Again” shows another side of Ingrid by providing listeners with more instrumentals and “louder” tracks instead of her typical quiet and lighter tracks. This album has been getting a lot of mixed reviews. Many fans agree that “Human Again” isn’t Ingrid’s typical sound, but many are also embracing how she is trying something new with her music and exploring other sounds.

This album gives a little something to each of Ingrid’s broad fan base. “This Is War” and “Palm of Your Hand” are more upbeat than one would expect while Ingrid’s true colors show in “Keep Warm” and “How We Love.” In my opinion, “Human Again” is a fun album that everyone is sure to enjoy. Ingrid is known for her unique quirkiness, and that definitely still shines brightly though this album.
