With less than three months before the 2019 season, the Iowa State women’s soccer schedule was released on Monday.

The Cyclones will play 19 games, 10 non-conference games and nine conference games.

Out of their nine non-conference games, seven of them will be played on the road and only two will be played at Cyclone Sports Complex in Ames.

Before the season begins, the Cyclones will play two exhibition games, one against the Drake Bulldogs in Des Moines on Aug. 14 and one against the Northern Iowa Panthers on August 17 in Ames.

To begin the season, Iowa State will begin the season on the West Coast as they will take on the UCLA Bruins on August 23 and the UC Irvine Anteaters on August 25.

The Iowa Corn Cy-Hawk game will be the Cyclones third game of the season and will be played in Iowa City on Aug. 29. The Cyclones won last year’s game 2-1 in Ames.

Iowa State will play their home opener on Sept. 1 against the Purdue Boilermakers, who escaped with a 2-1 victory in last year’s game.

On Sept. 6, the Cyclones will head out to Omaha, Neb. to face the Creighton Bluejays. The Cyclones won their last two matchups against the Bluejays in 2016 and 2017 by a combined score of 6-0.

The Cyclones will return home for their final home game of the non-conference slate against the Omaha Mavericks.

Iowa State’s last three games of the non-conference slate are road games against the Saint Louis Billikens on Sept. 13, the Southern Illinois-Edwardsville Cougars on Sept. 15 and the Memphis Tigers on Sept. 20.

The West Virginia Mountaineers are the Big 12 team that Iowa State will play first on Sept. 27 in Morgantown, W. Va. The Mountaineers won last year’s matchup in Ames 3-0.

Following their Big 12 opener, the Cyclones will play two home games, against the Texas Tech Lady Raiders on Oct. 3 and against the Texas Christian Horned Frogs on Oct. 6. Iowa State lost to the Lady Raiders 3-0 and drew against the Horned Frogs 2-2 last year.

The Cyclones will head to Manhattan, Kan., on Oct. 11 to face the Kansas State Wildcats. The Cyclones won 1-0 last year in the final regular season game of the year.

Iowa State will return to Ames for home games against the Oklahoma Sooners and the Oklahoma State Cowgirls on Oct. 17 and Oct. 20.

Last year, the Sooners beat the Cyclones 2-1, but the Cyclones did beat the Cowgirls.

The Cyclones final two road games will come against two the best teams in the Big 12, the Texas Longhorns on Oct. 24 and the Baylor Bears on Oct. 27.

A late goal led Texas to a 2-1 victory over Iowa State and Baylor won a double-overtime game and a Big 12 tournament game against Iowa State.

Iowa State will finish the regular season with a home game on Halloween against the Kansas Jayhawks. The Jayhawks topped the Cyclones 1-0 in Lawrence, Kan.

The Big 12 tournament will take place from Nov. 3-8 in Kansas City, Mo.
