The College of Human Sciences will be holding a forum Tuesday to discuss the desired characteristics for a director of the proposed School of Education.

The forum will be held from 4:10 to 5 p.m. in W142 in Lagomarcino Hall and will be open to students, faculty and staff.

Members of the search committee will be announced by Nov. 11, and the committee chair will be Carla Peterson, associate dean for human development and family studies.

The search for the director will begin once the Iowa Board of Regents approves the creation of Iowa State’s School of Education.

The proposed School of Education will be created from the combination of the department of curriculum and instruction, the department of educational leadership and policy studies, associated centers, and the University Teacher Education Program.
