Ivy Christianson, junior in journalism and mass communication; Frank LoMonte, executive director of the Student Press Law Center; and Adam Kissel, vice president of programs for the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education, put dirt on the Liberty Tree on Thursday, April 7, on Central Campus. The Liberty Tree was planned on campus as part of the Liberty Tree initiative, which promotes First Amendment activities across the nation.
