The ISU wrestling squad has added a former All-American to the roster with the transfer of Arizona State’s Chris Drouin for the 2010-2011 season.

Drouin qualified for three NCAA Championships in his three seasons in the desert, and will bring experience to a talented ISU squad in his senior season.

“Anytime you add an All-American to your team it is going to make you stronger,” said ISU coach Kevin Jackson in a news release. “Chris was an All-American two years ago, but did not reach his goals this year with a new coaching staff.”

In the 2009-2010 season Drouin was 21-13 and qualified for NCAA competition at 141 pounds. He was 1-2 at the championships.

“I think he adds a positive attitude, and he brings the experience of what it takes to become an All-American,” Jackson said. “Anytime you add someone like that to the program it is exciting and can only help us get better and accomplish our goals.”

Drouin had a 71-38 record in three seasons at Arizona State.
