Octagon hosts 42nd annual exhibit in Ames

The Octagon’s 42nd National Clay, Fiber, Paper, Glass, Metal, Wood Exhibition opens Friday to the public.

The exhibit will display almost 80 pieces by 54 artists from across the nation.

This year, the exhibit juror will be Tracy Krumm, assistant professor at the Kansas Art Institute. Krumm’s work has been featured in many publications, such as Metalsmith, American Craft, and Textile Forum magazines.

At the free opening reception, Krumm will announce the award recipeints for the Winnifred V. Brown Best of Show Award as well as honorable mentions.

The Clay, Fiber, Paper, Glass, Metal, Wood Exhibition will be on display at the Octagon through April 3.
