WOMEN’S BASKETBALL: Iowa State rolls past Fairfield

The Cyclones’ women’s basketball team went on to win its second game of the Cyclone Challenge in a 67–37 win over Fairfield on Wednesday.

Senior point guard Alison Lacey was named the tournament MVP, and junior guard Kelsey Bolte received all-tournament team honors. Lacey and Bolte led the Cyclones in their win over Fairfield, with 21 points each. Bolte also led the team in rebounds, with nine — all of which were on the defensive end.

The Cyclones out-rebounded Fairfield 47–17, and shot 42.9 percent from the field, compared to Fairfield’s low 31.3 percent.

Iowa State is now 10–1 on the season and will face Lafayette on Sunday at Hilton Coliseum.
