Iowa State has accepted a bid to play in the Insight Bowl on December 31, according to a news release from the ISU athletic department.

The Cyclones last played in the Insight Bowl (then called the Insight.com Bowl) against Pittsburgh in 2000. The game was Iowa State’s first bowl win. The Cyclones beat Pittsburgh 37–29.

It has been projected that Iowa State will play Minnesota as the Big 10’s representative in the game, but further announcement will come at the team’s 4:30 p.m. press conference.
