Octagon exhibit celebrates 30th anniversary of ISU College of Design

The Octagon Center for the Arts, 427 Douglas Ave., opens a special exhibit Friday to celebrate the ISU College of Design’s 30th anniversary.

The exhibit, “Material Matters,” will feature more than 60 works of art from 18 members of the college’s integrated studio arts faculty. A reception will be held Friday at 5:30 p.m.

Featured artists include Dean Biechler, lecturer in art and design, Amy Harris, senior lecturer in art and design, Teresa Paschke, associate professor of art and design, and Michael Stanley, lecturer in art and design.

The artwork includes fiber sculptures, paintings, photography, metalwork, ceramics and much more.
