WOMEN’S BASKETBALL: Iowa State exhibition play begins with Dubuque

With five new faces in the Cyclone lineup, the Iowa State women’s basketball team begins its exhibition season on Sunday, Nov. 1, at 2 p.m.

Iowa State will square off with Dubuque at Hilton Coliseum for the first glimpse of what lies ahead for the Cyclones, who made an appearance in the NCAA Elite Eight to finish off the 2008-2009 season.

The Spartans make the trip to Ames with 24 players on their roster in comparison to Iowa State’s 12. Dubuque’s young lineup is led by coach Mark Knoll, who is in his third season with the Spartans.

Iowa State steps onto the gym floor on Saturday with a 40-game winning streak over non-conference opponents at home. The last time Iowa State dropped a non-conference game was during the 2003-2004 season.

Live stats for the game will be available at www.cyclones.com and the contest will be broadcasted on Cyclone Radio Network/Learfield, along with online radio and webcast at CloneZone.
