A recently installed sculpture was vandalized Saturday, according to a press release issued by university museums.

According to the statement, Christian Peterson’s “Library Boy,” which was installed last week in front of the Hub, was overturned and snapped off its stone pedestal.

Police recovered the vandalized statue around noon Saturday. Officials with facilities planning and management plan to reinstall the piece sometime this week.

According to the release, a $500 reward is being offered to any individuals who can provide information that leads to an arrest and conviction in the case. Anyone with information is encouraged to call ISU Police at 515-294-4428.
