Kelsey Bolte finished two points shy of her career high as Bolte’s 21-point offensive outburst helped Iowa State (9-2) roll to an 89-39 victory over Niagara (1-11).

Senior Heather Ezell and freshman Ashley Arlen added 13 and 12 points respectively as the Cyclones shot 50.9 percent.

Iowa State jumped out to an early lead and never looked back, starting the game on a 22-6 run. By the end of the half the Cyclones had opened up a 54-22 lead.

The second half proved to be much of the same as Iowa State poured on 35 points. Niagara didn’t help its cause, committing 30 turnovers.

With the game well in hand, the Cyclones were able to use nine players off the bench, who combined for 37 points.

The win sets up a Tuesday night match-up with North Dakota in the championship game of the four-team Cyclone Challenge tournament. North Dakota had little trouble dispensing Lamar 72-58 in the opening game of the tournament.
