Bicyclist hurt on Pammel Drive

A bicyclist and van collided on Pammel Drive, near Lagomarcino Hall, on Monday at about 5 p.m.

Officers at the scene didn’t divulge details of the event; however, Lt. Seth Twedt, with the Ames Fire Department, said the bicyclist was being treated for minor injuries.

Lt. Darin Vanryswyk said he could not release the name of the bicyclist, but confirmed it was a student.

He said was not aware of the extent of the bicyclist’s injuries but did know that he was responsive at the scene.
