Eve 6 announced for Veishea

The entertainment lineup for the 2008 Veishea celebration has alternative rock band Eve 6 headlining on Friday night following the Battle of the Bands and rock band Blessid Union of Souls, R&B artists Bobby Valentino and country singer Jamie O’Neal Saturday night at the former marching band field for Live @ Veishea.

Other musical acts Saturday night Anchond O (Latin/rock), Congress of A Crow (rock/pop/reggae), the Mark Little Band (improvisation/vibe) and Stanwood Charlie (“ska-core”).

Wristbands, costing $5 each, are required for admission to the music events at the band field Friday and Saturday nights. Wristbands will be sold to the first 7,000 people. Students, faculty and staff may purchase one wristband with an ISU ID card, and if any remain by Thursday, April 10, ISU Students may purchase one additional wristband for a friend. Actor, comedian and comedy writer Michael Ian Black, the education speaker, will discuss his careers he has had throughout his life Monday, April 7.

The headliner for the Veishea Comedy Show is John Oliver with Rory Albanese as the opening act.

Other entertainment includes mentalist Jim Karol, comedic hypnotist Anthony Potmesil, freestyle motocross riders Team FMX Motocross and motor-cross stunt group Ride & Glide.

Veishea will be held April 7-13.
