IRHA will reflect on Res Hall Week
October 30, 2003
The Inter-Residence Hall Association will speak about events that have taken place so far during Residence Hall Week during Thursday’s meeting.
Autumn Hare, director of special events, said the Residence Hall Week events have been running smoothly. Res Week began on Sunday night with a pizza fest and a “You Don’t Know Jack” Tournament, in which pizza places competed to win the student’s choice award, Hare said.
Home Team Pizza, 2426 Lincoln Way, was selected as the winner because they were generous and were there for the students, Hare said. Gumby’s Pizza, 526 Main St. and Da Vinci’s Pizza and Hoagies, 2514 Chamberlain St., also ranked high in the contest.
A “Price is Right” game was held Monday night and IRHA gave away prizes to those who attended, Hare said.
More than 200 people attended the concert of Tonic Sol-Fa, an
acapella group, who performed on Tuesday night in the Sun Room of the Memorial Union.
IRHA is selling Residence Hall Week T-shirts for $5 to defray the cost of other T-shirts that will be given away to those who participate in the Res Week community service project Saturday morning.
The events are open to all students regardless if they are living in the residence halls, Hare said.
The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. in the Maple-Willow-Larch conference room.
