No propaganda

Sevim Ahmedov

The March 31 Kosovo debate organized by the Serbian Student Association failed dismally to provide an objective forum for discussion of the situation in the province.

The one-sidedness and bias of the panel was an extension of inane Serbian propaganda and did not bring about a better understanding of why Kosovars are fighting for their independence and why the Serbian government is brutally opposing it.

Someone with more knowledge of Balkan history would have been a better choice than Dr. Mansbach to represent the Kosovo side.

I understand that it is hard to be objective when NATO is bombing your homeland. But the Serbian students should have honestly stated the intent of their presentation rather than making a poor attempt to disguise it in some kind of a “discussion-of-both-sides” forum.
