I happened to catch the article by Jill Hawkins on DPS’ rules for bicycles, and quite frankly, I think they’re bull. Are you seriously telling me that I’m going to get fined $12 dollars for “riding on campus sidewalks?” And are you telling me that my bicycle is now a vehicle and I can get pulled over for traffic violations, such as speeding?

Please give me a ticket on my bike; I’d rip it in front of the officer’s face and laugh, because in all honesty, what am I doing wrong, riding my bike to class? If riding my bike to class is wrong, go ahead and just give me the damn ticket.
