Rustic Overtones will play People’s tonight

Combining ska-horns and free-form jazz with funk and swing, the seven-piece Rustic Overtones has built a strong following with its diverse sound.

On tour behind the band’s third record on Ripchord Records, “My Dirt,” Rustic Overtones will be playing at People’s Bar and Grill tonight at 9 p.m.

Rumor has it the band will arrive from Colorado early today and will set-up somewhere on campus for a special acoustic performance.

Maine natives Rustic Overtones has toured throughout the country and in England with such bi- name artists as George Clinton & the P-Funk All-Stars, the Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Rusted Root, Seven Mary Three and Letters To Cleo.
